Interested in serving on town boards and commissions?
The Town of Herndon is seeking applicants to serve on its boards and commissions, to include the Planning Commission, the Architectural Review and Heritage Review Boards, the Board of Zoning Appeals and various ad hoc committees.
"We are fortunate to live in a community in which so many citizens are willing to dedicate their time and talents to benefit our town," said Mayor Steve DeBenedittis. "I urge all citizens who are interested in serving on one of our boards and commissions to get an application on file, so that when vacancies arise we have a qualified field from which to select candidates."
The Town Clerk's office maintains a "Talent Bank" of applications to boards and commissions. The Town Council reviews talent bank applications when making selections to fill vacacies. A description of all boards and commissions is included on the application.
