Interested in serving on town boards and commissions?
The Town of Herndon is seeking applicants to serve on its boards and commissions, to include the Planning Commission, the Architectural Review and Heritage Review Boards, the Board of Zoning Appeals and various ad hoc committees.
"Herndon's spirit of volunteerism makes us strong, and we are fortunate to have so many people with a wide range of experiences who are willing to dedicate their time and talents to benefit our Town," said Mayor Lisa Merkel. "I encourage all Town residents who are interested in having a voice in moving Herndon forward to consider submitting a Talent Bank Application, so that when vacancies arise we have a well-qualified, diverse pool of candidates to consider for our boards and commissions."
The Town Clerk's office maintains a "Talent Bank" of applications to boards and commissions. The Town Council reviews talent bank applications when making selections to fill vacancies. A description of all boards and commissions is included on the application.
