The parents orientation meeting for the 2013 season will be Tuesday May 28 from 7:30-8:30pm at the Herndon Community Center. All parents are required to attend this meeting.
There will be Training Sessions for parents interested in officiating at swim meets this Summer. Days and times for the trainings will be announced as we get closer to the season. About the Halibuts
Join the HCC Summer Swim Team and be a Fighting Halibut! The Herndon Halibuts are a Summer Swim Team within the Herndon Swim League. As a developmental team, your child will have an opportunity to learn the four competitive strokes and swim in meets during the season.
Online registration is available for this program this year. Payment of the activity fee and parent sign up for assisting at meets and team events is required before the first day of practice.
Parents are expected to help out at four swim meets and one team activity. Parents are required to sign up for meet and activity assignments before a child will be allowed to participate. A $35 Activity Fee per swimmer will also be due to complete your registration to cover the cost of t-shirts, caps, end of season awards and team activities.
We will be using new software this Summer to help with organizing swimmers and parents. Once the software is set up for the Summer 2013 season a link will be added to this page.
All swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool continuously without stopping.
About 2013 Summer Season Practice Schedule and Pricing
The team was able to keep the prices the same as for the 2012 season. It will be $115 for TOH residents and $140 for non-residents. All swimmers must pay the additional $35 activity fee.
2013 Summer Season Meet Schedule
All swimmers are expected to attend meets!
If your child will miss a swim meet, you must notify the coaches at least two days in advance.
