22nd Annual Sugarland Run & Runnymede Park Clean Up Day
Saturday, April 17 (Rain date: April 24), 8am-12pm

In addition, there will be a tree planting to celebrate Arbor Day.
Choose between stream clean-up or native plant garden assignments.
Meet at main entrance at Runnymede Park. Bring work gloves and

Annual Friends of Runnymede Park Meeting
Sunday, March 14, 7-9pm
A brief business meeting to elect new officers and report on Runnymede Park activities and future plans. All are welcome to attend and learn about this jewel in the heart of Herndon. Refreshments provided.
Meets at Art Space, 750 Center Street.
6th Annual Trout Fishing Derby Ages 2-15Saturday, March 20, 2010Held in the early Spring. Sugarland Run Stream's clear cool waters used to house native trout. All the necessary equipment will be provided to make your day successful! In addition, Trout Unlimited will help clean and store your catch. Volunteers will be on hand to teach you how to bait, cast, hook, and cook your freshly caught dinner. Please wear shoes you don't mind getting wet or muddy, no sandals. All kids MUST be accompanied by an adult. Event meets behind the Herndon Police Station on the Sugarland Run Trail.
Teens and adults ages 16 & up and MUST have a valid Virginia State Fishing License to fish. Adults are not permitted to fish during kid's fishing time. See staff or volunteers for dates and times of extended fishing hours.

Enjoy thirteen stations which lead you through the park that include hands on activities, educational events, wildlife visitors and arts.
Grab your passport to Runnymede Park and get stamped at each station to receive a treat at the end with your completed passport. Stations include:

Parking availability:
1. Park along Herndon Parkway (space is limited; we encourage carpooling)
2. Bike or walk if you live nearby.

397 Herndon Parkway.
