The Herndon Halibuts
Join the HCC Summer Swim Team and be a Fighting Halibut! The Herndon Halibuts are a Summer Swim Team within the Herndon Swim League. As a developmental team, your child will have an opportunity to learn the four competitive strokes and swim in meets during the season. Parents are expected to help out at four swim meets and two team activities. A $35 Activity Fee per swimmer will be due by June 1, 2010 to cover the cost of t-shirts, caps, end of season awards and team activities.
All swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool continuously without stopping.

Warm-ups for Wednesday Meets begin at 5:30pm, Meet starts at 6pm.
Warm-ups for Saturday Meets begin at 8am, Meet starts at 8:30am. Exception: the Saturday Meet at Meadows Warm-ups begin at 8:30am, Meet starts at 9am.
Team breakfasts will be held Wednesday, June 30th, and Friday, July 16th. Please contact Nora Thompson if you wish to volunteer to help at these events.
Halibut Pizza and Pool Party. For swimmers and families. The party will be held on Saturday, July 17th, from 6pm until 9pm at the Herndon Community Center pool. Please complete the RSVP form given to your swimmer whether you will or will not attend and return it to your coach by July 12th.
The Herndon Commanders year round swim team will be holding stroke evaluations and tryouts for the 2010-2011 Season after each Halibuts practice on Tuesday, July 20th.
The end of season team party will be July 21st at 6:30pm at Bready Park. Please contact Nora Thompson if you wish to help with this event.
All swimmers are expected to attend meets!
All swimmers are expected to participate at meets. If your child will miss a swim meet, you must notify the coaches at least two days in advance.
