Nature Fest Sunday, September 20

Runnymede Park - Herndon Parkway

Event is co-sponsored by The Friends of Runnymede Park and Herndon Parks and Recreation Department.

Enjoy thirteen stations which lead you through the park that include hands on activities, educational events, wildlife visitors and arts.

Grab your passport to Runnymede Park and get stamped at each station to receive a treat at the end with your completed passport.  Stations include:

Honey Bees
Birding
Meadow Adventures
Recycling
Web of Life
Butterflies
Herndon Farm Life
Rain Gardens/Rain Barrels
Life in the Stream (fish shocking)
Native Plants
Forest Habitat
Fairfax County Wilflife Mgmt
Water Quality(Little Critters)
 
Plus food by JJ Deli and craft projects

Parking availability:
1. Park along Herndon Parkway (space is limited; we  encourage carpooling)
2. Bike or walk if you live nearby.
3. Ride the shuttle bus from the satellite parking at the Herndon Police Station, about 1/2 mile south of the park at
397 Herndon Parkway.
