Nature Fest
On Sunday, September 20 from 1-5pm come to Runnymede Park and celebrate nature! Explore a variety of nature stations throughout the park. Investigate live animals, entertainment, crafts, and fun for the whole family! Satellite parking will be available and free shuttle bus provided. This event is presented in collaboration with the Friends of Runnymede Park and is FREE! Call Mike Hotze at 703-435-6800 x2109 if you or your group would like to volunteer.
Herndon Festival
June 3-6, 2010. Northern Virginia's largest free, family event is the annual Herndon Festival, held in historic downtown Herndon. The event is produced by the Herndon Parks & Recreation Department, with the Herndon Festival Executive committee and hundreds of volunteers, and includes three stages of entertainment, an arts & crafts fair, carnival rides and games, food vending, a business expo, a 10K/5K Race, and a Children's Hands-on Art area.
Herndon 4th of July Celebration
Join the Town of Herndon on July 4, for a family-fun event featuring games, small rides, races, craft activities, bingo and more. The event takes place in Bready Park, around the Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave starting at 6:30 PM. 7:30 PM Mike Aiken will take the main stage and get the crowds up and dancing. Throughout the evening, festive food, ranging from hot dogs and hamburgers to funnel cakes will be on sale! Our fabulous fireworks show is choreographed to music and starts at 9:30 PM. Parking is available at Herndon Middle School.
Herndon Labor Day Jazz & Wine Festival
The 22nd Annual Labor Day Jazz & Wine Festival on Monday, September 6, 2010, from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. on the Town Green in Historic Downtown Herndon.
Presented in collaboration with the Herndon Woman's Club, the event features nationally and regionally known jazz entertainers on our main stage, a Wine Tasting with approximately ten Virginia wineries, gourmet food, and a Fine Arts show. We hope you will join us on the Town Green in Historic Downtown Herndon.
