Gold Medal Award
Herndon Parks and Recreation Department, in Fairfax County, Virginia, provides parks and recreation programs and events to meet the diverse interests of our residents and surrounding communities. The department operates the Herndon Community Center, located at 814 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon, VA, 20170.
Special events produced by the department include the Herndon Festival, July 4th Celebration, Labor Day Festival, and NatureFest. The department oversees the operation of eleven neighborhood parks.
