Procurement
The Town of Herndon Procurement Division serves all Town departments in the process of purchasing required goods and services for the implementation of Town operating budget of approximately $19.1 million. The Procurement Division's goal is to obtain high quality goods and services at a reasonable cost, to ensure that all procurement procedures be conducted in a fair and impartial manner with avoidance of any impropriety or appearance of impropriety, and that all qualified vendors have access to public business and that no offeror be arbitrarily or capriciously excluded in accordance with the Town Code and the Virginia Public Procurement Act. All expenditures of public funds must be made in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Procurement Division.
The Procurement Division advertises its procurement opportunities that exceed $30,000 on the Commonwealth of Virginia's eVA Business Opportunities website . The eVA Business Opportunities website also serves as the Town's bidders list for procurement opportunities and any updates or addendums for current bids or solicitations. By registering on the eVA Business Opportunities website, vendors will automatically be notified electronically of opportunities. These bids or solicitations may also be viewed in their entirety by downloading from the eVA webpage.
