Elden, Lynn, Station and Spring Streets

The improvements project on downtown streets, including installation of a duct bank to facilitate future undergrounding of existing overhead utility lines, will continue.  Construction is expected to begin Monday, November 21st and will continue throughout December.  Partial lane closures and temporary detours will be necessary during construction.

Park Avenue and Dranesville Road Intersection Improvements

The Town of Herndon is in the process of developing concept plans for improving the Park Avenue and Dranesville Road intersection.  As the town considers it essential to gather input from property owners, residents, and other stakeholders, a citizens meeting was held July 21, 2011 to provide an opportunity to discuss options available for intersection improvemnets. 

The town hired a transporation consultant, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. of Vienna VA to complete the construction plans for the improvements.  The plans are now in the concept development stage and were presentated at the meeting for comments.  Please click here to view concept. 

Herndon Municipal Center Re-Roofing Project

The Herndon Municipal Center Re-Roofing Project is a project in the CIP (Capital Improvements Program) and consists of removal and replacement of the existing flat roof. Work began in October and is expected to be completed in December 2011.
