Herndon Metrorail- read more
On November 8, 2011, the Town Council voted to return CPA #11-02 (Metrorail Area Plan) to the Planning Commission for further study with a desired return date for recommendation to Council for public hearing on 2/14/12.
The Planning Commission discussed the plan with the consultants and town staff on November 21, 2011 during their regularly scheduled work session. The Planning Commission will continue discussion of the Herndon Metrorail Area Plan at the December 19, 2011 Planning Commission Work Session.

New Grand Opening Ordinance!
The Town Council has passed a new ordinance allowing business grand openings with additional signage and special events. Permits for grand openings must be applied for within 8 months of the business opening to the public.
