Herndon Police Citizens Support Team
The Herndon Police Citizens' Support Team (HPCST) was established in November 1976 as a volunteer organization to provide aid, support, and assistance to the Herndon Police in the prevention of crime and the promotion of public safety. The services provided by the HPCST include:
The HPCST supports many events in the Town of Herndon including Friday Night Live, Herndon Fest, Community Center Teen Dances, Fourth Of July Fireworks, and the Homecoming Parade. The HPCST has moved well beyond the initial role of neighborhood watch and traffic control. Many of the members of the HPCST are also active in the Herndon Crime Prevention Council and the Alumni Association of the Herndon Police Citizens Academy.
