Christmas with a Cop
The "Christmas with a Cop" program is facilitated by the Youth Services Officer. Guidance counselors from Herndon Elementary School and the Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC) counselors submit names of children that may be having a harder time during the holiday season of November and December. These children are then provided an opportunity to meet with police officers for a shopping spree at a local business.Gift certificates purchased through donated monies are provided to the children to use when they shop with the officer.
