Karen, Head Personal Trainer
Karen is a certified personal trainer with American Council on Exercise. She brings 17 years of personal training and group training experience to our department. She enjoys working with people of all ages and fitness levels by providing them with a functional fitness program that helps them feel challenged and accomplished. Karen's passion for fitness is fueled by a motivation to help others live a healthy and balanced lifestyle. She enjoys the personal connection she finds with clients - and it allows her to find the best ways to teach and motivate you to reach your goals.
Jenlene, Running Coach
With 10 marathons, 20 half-marathons and numerous 5k's, 10k's, 10 milers and sprint triathlons under her belt, Jenlene is a lifelong runner who understands the challenges the everyday athlete faces. As a Road Runners Club of America Certified Running Coach and race director, Jenlene will motivate you to safely cross the finish line with a smile on your face. She’ll make your running dreams a reality while having fun along the way.
David, Personal Trainer
David is a NASM and ACSM Certified Personal Trainer/Health Fitness Specialist. He holds a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and is very passionate about people, fitness, and overall health/wellness. One of his major goals in life is to serve and help others in any way possible that leads to improvement in their quality of life. David was involved in sports all of his life, and loves to live an active lifestyle. His true passion later revealed to be Volleyball, as he played for Liberty University and competed as a collegiate athlete for 4 years. With the knowledge that he has gained throughout his years of experience, he hopes to give back to the community in assisting them to be the healthiest individual they can be!
Jane, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor
Jane is a Certified Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine, a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Strength & Conditioning Association and a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise, and a Certified Group Fitness Instructor with the American Council on Exercise. She has been personal training since 1995 and teaching group exercise since 1987. Jane understands the needs, challenges, and dedication to embrace and foster a healthy lifestyle through safe and effective exercise, nutrition and positive living.
Sudy, Personal Trainer
Sudy is an International Sports Science Certified (ISSC) Fitness Trainer and has a B.S. in Sports Management from Barry University. Since graduation, Sudy has worked in various capacities, including personal training and coaching travel soccer (being licensed with the US Soccer Federation and the United Soccer Coaches). He has a passion for fitness and believes that with consistency and working step by step, everyone can achieve their fitness goals. Sudy enjoys biking the W&OD trail, walking his two pups, playing soccer, and can often be found marathon-watching soccer on Saturday mornings.
Caryn, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor
Caryn has a graduate degree from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and National Strength Professionals Association. She is a Certified Instructor of Metabolic Effect, BODYPUMP, BODYSTEP, SPINNING, TRX Suspension Training and an Assistant Instructor with American Karate Academy. Caryn is also an instructor at Halau Nohona Hawaii, a school of Hawaiian dance and culture that performs throughout Washington, D.C. and the metropolitan area.
Trey, Personal Trainer
Trey graduated from Liberty University and is a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise. His favorite exercise is deadlifts and he is a strong believer in flexibility and core strength to maintain mobility. Trey has a passion for coaching. With his experience and knowledge, he is here to help you reach your goals on any fitness level.
Miro, Personal Trainer
Miro is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. He has more than twenty years of experience in various sports such as weightlifting, bodybuilding, cross training, functional, strength and conditioning fitness. Miro uses all his knowledge and experience to help his clients to identify their goals, build an individualized training plan, and a strategy to achieving them. His goal is to provide professional advice and assistance to help his clients on their journey to achieving a healthy lifestyle.
