It's Festival time! The Herndon Festival is June 1-4, in downtown Herndon. Visit www.herndonfestival.net for hours, entertainment schedules and much more.

Research has found that early positive experiences in sports create a lifelong commitment to an active lifestyle. Tennis is fun for children and adults of all ages and levels; with minimal risk of injury the sport provides many social, health, and psychological benefits.

Adult and youth tennis lessons are offered at the Bready Park Tennis Complex, adjacent to the Herndon Community Center. Classes are organized under the National Tennis Rating program (NTRP), click here for the NTRP rating categories. Completion of a session does not automatically qualify the student to advance to the next level of classes. Please consult your instructor before registering for classes. The Herndon P&R Department tennis program reserves the right to dismiss a student from a class if they are below the skill level, based on the NTRP ratings, necessary to complete the class. Students must provide their own racquet, two new cans of tennis balls, and may wear athletic footwear only.

Click here for the current class listing. Or read below for our general listing of classes offered.

Outdoor classes are offered during spring, summer, and fall. Indoor classes are offered in the Tennis Center during the winter and early spring, click here for Tennis Center information.
