Distinguished Service candidates may have volunteered in typical assignments but, through their leadership and dedication, have produced exceptional results
Nominations must be received by Friday, March 1, 2019.
Candidates should have displayed:
- extensive community-wide volunteer support in sports, social services, arts, conservation, safety, or other community activities or organizations.
- commitment to volunteering with a minimum of two years of service
- demonstrated a willingness to assume multiple responsibilities and/or projects involving considerable leadership, time, and effort.
A previous Distinguished Service Award winner cannot be nominated again within a ten-year period.
All applications shall include a description of nominee’s volunteer activities and the period of activity describing how the applicant meets the Distinguished Service Award criteria. Nomination descriptions should be limited to the equivalent of one page, single spaced describing the Volunteer’s commitment, leadership, service, and results achieved.
A photograph of each distinguished volunteer is requested. (Digital, preferred)
