Herndon Senior Center
The Herndon Senior Center is located at 873 Grace Street and provides programs and resources to adults 55 and older. 703-464-6200
The Herndon Post Office is located at 590 Grove Street, Herndon. Addresses may be changed or updated online.
Public Schools and Libraries
Schools: Operated within the Town of Herndon by Fairfax County. Four FCPS elementary schools, Herndon Middle School and Herndon High School serve children living within the town. To register, visit www.fcps.edu.

Real Estate Taxes
The Town of Herndon real estate tax rate is $0.2650 per $100 of assessed value.

Vehicle Registration Fee: All vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles normally garaged, stored or parked within the Town of Herndon limits for more than 30 days are required to pay a Local Vehicle Registration License fee.

“Herndon ON the GO” is the official platform for town citizens to access their government in a single location from their mobile devices. With this tool, citizens can submit, track and view nearby service requests through their smartphones. On the backend, town staff redirects and responds to submitted requests through a customized workflow management system and provides residents real-time status updates and comments on requests as they are submitted.
Citizens can also use the in-app widgets to pay their water bill and find information about town events, town news, police news, town meetings, employment opportunities, and more. Widgets also connect users to DineONHerndon.com, the town’s restaurant website, town places such as parks, and the town’s Facebook page.
“Herndon ON the Go” is downloadable for free through iTunes and Google Play. The app is powered by PublicStuff, the town’s vendor for its customer relationship management (CRM) interface.
