The Town is pursuing a reboot to its Heritage Preservation Program. This project involves new public outreach events, a preservation and District awareness campaign, new architectural surveys for District properties, and a new Heritage Preservation Handbook and Design Guidelines.
The current focus of this project is the development of NEW DESIGN GUIDELINES.
The Town hosted public meetings for the design guidelines project in October. The consultants are now busy working on a draft of the guidelines taking into the account the feedback received at those meetings. The consultants' project website lists all of the comments that were received. To see those comments and for more project info visit www.herndon-preservation.com.
