Overview 

The Town of Herndon Streetery Pilot Program was established in Spring 2024 and renewed for 2025 during the months of March through November.  The Streetery Pilot Program allows certain restaurants in the downtown zoning districts to rent public property for the purposes of providing outdoor seating.  Eligible restaurants may rent public sidewalks, on-street parking spaces, or public parking lots, provided the restaurant is adjacent to the public property and seating area complies with the building code, Fire Marshal, ABC laws, and certain other requirements.

To apply for a Streetery, complete the Application for a Streetery and Encroachment Permit for Town Property, found on the Forms & Fees webpage.
