Town Taxes: COVID-19 Update

Real Property Taxes: The Town Council has approved extending the due date for the first installment payment of real estate taxes from July 28, 2020 until August 28, 2020.


Transient Occupancy Taxes: The Council also approved temporarily extending the due dates for the payment of Transient Occupancy Taxes. In order to qualify for this extension, businesses must remit the information return by the normal due date, which is the 20th of the month following the month of collection.


The new payment schedule for Transient Occupancy taxes is as follows:

Meals Taxes: If you are a food establishment or other seller of food and meals and are having difficulty filing a meals tax return or paying the meals tax on or before the 20th day of the month, please contact the Director of Finance by email at for assistance.

The Revenue Division is responsible for the collection of all taxes, fees, utility payments, and miscellaneous revenue due to the Town. Tax assessments include business, professional, and occupational license fees (BPOL) and lodging and meal taxes.
