Notice: Update to Plan Review Process – Effective July 1, 2025

In accordance with new state regulations, the Town has implemented updates to its Plan Review Process.

All applicants are encouraged to review the updated Site Plan Review and Pre-Submission Conference Info Sheets for more information on these updates.

Notice of Temporary Schedule Change Due to Office Renovations:

Please be advised that, due to ongoing office renovations, a modified schedule for in-person services will be in effect beginning June 9, 2025.

In-person submissions of applications or documents related to site plans or plats will be accepted Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For assistance, the Plan Review Coordinator remains available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and can be reached via email at planreview@herndon-va.gov or by phone at 703-435-6800, ext. 2011.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We anticipate returning to our regular schedule in August 2025.

Note: Any application that is received after 4pm will be processed for in-take the next business day.

The Department of Public Works oversees review of site plans, subdivision plans, boundary line adjustments, plats of easements and various other by-right applications for compliance with Town regulations.
