2025 Holiday Trash and Recycling Collection Schedule

HOLIDAY	COLLECTION DAY
January 1, New Year's Day	No Trash collection. Trash normally collected on Wednesday will be collected on Thursday, January 2.
January 20, Martin Luther King Day	No recycling collection. Recycling normally collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, January 21.
February 17, President's Day	Recycling collected (no schedule change).
May 26, Memorial Day	No recycling collection. Recycling normally collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, May 27.
June 19, Juneteenth	Trash collected (no schedule change).
July 4, Independence Day	Trash collected (no schedule change).
September 1, Labor Day	No recycling collection. Recycling normally collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, September 2.
October 13, Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day	Recycling collected (no schedule change).
November 11, Veterans Day	Recycling collected (no schedule change).
November 27, Thanksgiving Day	No Trash collection. Trash normally collected on Thursday will be collected on Friday, Nov. 28
November 29, Town Holiday	Trash will be collected (no schedule change).
December 24, Town Holiday (Closed at Noon)	Trash collected (no schedule change).
December 25, Christmas Day Observed	No Trash collection. Trash normally collected on Thursday will be collected on Friday, Dec. 26.

Reminders:

Items must be at curb no later than 6am for collection.

Please do not place trash or recycling curbside more than 24 hours prior to scheduled collection.

Household hazardous waste and e-waste is accepted at the Fairfax County West Ox Road Transfer Station.
