Parade Begins at 9:30 a.m.

Roll out the red carpet for the 2026 Herndon High School Homecoming Parade, proudly presented by the Herndon Parks & Recreation Department!

This year's theme, Hollywood Through the Years, celebrates the magic of the movies with creative floats, marching bands, school groups, community organizations, local businesses, and plenty of hometown spirit. Bring your family, find a spot along the parade route, and enjoy one of Herndon's favorite annual traditions.

 

Traffic Adjustments & Road Closures

To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, the following road closures and parking restrictions are anticipated to be in effect on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Final details will be confirmed closer to the event.

  • Lynn Street: Closes at 6:30 a.m. for parade staging and removal of parked vehicles.
  • Elden Street: Closes at 8:00 a.m. from Locust Street to Monroe Street.
  • Locust Street: Closes at 8:00 a.m. from Center Street to Elden Street.
  • Station Street: Closes at 8:00 a.m. from Center Street to Lynn Street.
  • Spring Street: Closes at 8:00 a.m. from Locust Street to Elden Street.
  • Monroe Street: Closes at 8:00 a.m. from Van Buren Street to Elden Street.
  • Pine Street (north side): No Parking from 6:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. to accommodate Fairfax Connector service adjustments.

The parade route is anticipated to fully reopen following the conclusion of the parade at approximately 1:00 p.m.
