Swap, Save, and Celebrate Halloween

Give Halloween costumes a second life at the Kids Halloween Costume Exchange! As little ghosts, superheroes, and princesses grow, so do their costume collections. Trade in gently used children's costumes and discover a new favorite for this Halloween—all at no cost.

It's an easy, budget-friendly way to refresh your child's costume while helping other local families do the same.

How It Works

Donate Costumes

• Drop off gently used children's Halloween costumes at the Herndon Community Center.
• Donation period: September 21 through noon on Thursday, October 8.
• Please place each costume in its own bag to help with sorting.

Shop the Exchange
Return during one of the exchange dates to browse available costumes and take home a new-to-you Halloween look.

• Friday, October 9 | 3:00–6:00 p.m.
• Saturday, October 10 | 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Limit: Two costumes per family.
