Lace up your running shoes and join one of Herndon's favorite holiday traditions! The Turkey Trot 5K is a community cross-country style race that welcomes runners of all experience levels for an afternoon of fitness, fun, and friendly competition.

Whether you're chasing a personal best or making memories with family and friends, the Turkey Trot is the perfect way to start your Thanksgiving celebration.

  • Long-sleeve commemorative race shirt for the first 400 pre-registered runners
  • Awards for 1st and 2nd place finishers in each age division

Additional Information

  • Participants are encouraged to bring a canned food donation on race day to support LINK, helping local families experiencing food insecurity.
  • Strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not permitted on the race course.
