The Town's boards, commissions, and ad hoc committees undertake specific functions and address particular areas of interest within the town.  Town Council appoints members to serve on the boards, which offer a great way for individuals to be active within the town.

The Town of Herndon is seeking a member of the Virginia State Bar to serve on its Architectural Review Board (ARB) and Historic District Review Board (HDRB). This attorney position plays an important role in reviewing and considering exterior modifications to structures within the Town.

The Town of Herndon is also seeking a currently Registered Design Professional (RDP) Engineer to serve on its Board of Building Code Appeals.
