Tuesday, Feb 19: A winter storm is in the forecast for the region. Click here for info on snow removal in the Town of Herndon. Residents are asked to move cars OFF of streets prior to the storm, so plows can get through. Recyclables will not be collected Wednesday, Feb 20; they will be collected town-wide on Thursday, Feb 21. Liberal leave is in effect for town employees on Wednesday, Feb 20. Parks & Rec classes and programs before 3pm are cancelled.

Carseat InstallTraining, enforcement, and educational outreach initiatives, are components of the Department's ongoing efforts to prevent child occupant injury and death.  Herndon Police Department wants to ensure that all children are properly restrained according to their age and size each time they travel in a motor vehicle.  The Department partners with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration  in campaigns to increase the correct use of child safety seats, booster seats and safety belts.

The Herndon Police Department has child safety seat inspectors available by appointment to assist in the proper installation of child safety seat equipment.  To arrange an appointment, please contact us.
