Explore what the Herndon Community Center preschool has to offer!

Our goal is to foster independence in a school setting. Professional staff will provide a nurturing environment for ages 3-5. The Herndon Community Center Preschool is a state-licensed program, which is designed to stimulate your child's mind and development.

Exciting changes are coming to the Herndon Community Center Preschool. Now ages 4 & 5 will meet daily Monday through Friday, 9am-12pm, with an emphasis on skills needed to enter kindergarten, plus field trips, outside free play, music, swimming and holiday activities to celebrate diversity in our classroom. Children must be 4 by September 30, 2019.

Preschool Prep focuses on ages 3 & 4 and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3pm.  This serves as a great introduction to a group setting with fun learning and play-based activities.

Our interactive, play-based curriculum fosters your child’s sense of responsibility and independence through daily activities. Parents and children love our outdoor courtyard for play, games, and arts & crafts, while enjoying on-site access to a full-sized gymnasium, large outdoor playground and indoor swimming pool.

The class will run September 9-June 12 (generally following Fairfax County Public School schedule). The teacher-child ratio is 3:20.

Registration for the 2019-2020 school year is ongoing and on a first-come-first-served basis. Children must be potty-trained and use of disposable undergarments is not permitted.

*A $75 nonrefundable deposit and child’s proof of age (such as birth certificate or passport) are due at the time of registration. Fees are payable on an established payment plan of 5 installments. To learn more, contact Kellee Windom at 703-435-6800 x2136.
