Work With Us
For the upcoming Fall season, we are reinventing the delivery of programs and classes to ensure the safety and protection of our students and instructors while we all navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. Do you have an interest or skill you can share with others? The Herndon Parks and Recreation Department is seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to fill instructor positions through either virtual or in person (physically distanced) formats. We can provide the necessary equipment to broadcast live or on demand programs for any age group. The emphasis is on teen and adult programming for classes held in person. Learning new skills, discovering other cultures, taking a guided nature walk, or new ways to celebrate traditional holidays and occasions are all among the opportunities we hope to provide our community. If this appeals to you, we encourage you to submit a program proposal, with a plan to adhere to any health and safety guidance provided by the Governor’s Forward Virginia plan, or the Center for Disease Control. (CDC). Following the required internal reviews, staff will discuss with you the potential to move the program forward.
