The Town of Herndon’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) program allows for the controlled consumption of alcoholic beverages within approved outdoor areas during permitted events. Authorized under Virginia ABC regulations and Town ordinance, DORA events are designed to support community gatherings, activate public spaces, and enhance the downtown experience while maintaining public safety, accessibility, and neighborhood compatibility.
