Town of Herndon Real Estate taxes are collected by Fairfax County and will appear on your Fairfax County Real Estate tax bill. The Town of Herndon tax rate for Fiscal Year 2027 is $0.27/$100 in assessed value. Fairfax County DTA also administers the tax relief program.

The due dates for real estate taxes are July 28 for the first half installment, and December 5 for the second half installment.

Delinquent Real Estate tax balances are subject to additional penalties and/or interest.
